WAKAMONO applied micelle nanotechnology, creating nanoparticle structure, amphiphilic block copolymers that self assemble to form a micelle with a hydrophobic core and a hydrophilic shell. Nanomicelles are capable of delivering poorly water-soluble drugs as well as the protection of drug molecules.

Liposomes are small artificial vesicles of spherical shape that can be created from cholesterol and natural non-toxic phospholipids. Due to their size, hydrophobic and hydrophilic character and biocompatibility), liposomes are promising systems for drug delivery. Liposome properties differ considerably with lipid composition, surface charge, size, and the method of preparation form a rigid, rather impermeable bilayer structure.
